Contact Us
OUT Museum is the world’s first Chinese queer museum. We aim to build a major platform for recording, preserving, showcasing and researching the past, present and future of Chinese-language LGBTQ+ communities. Through policy advice, community services and social advocacy, we work to ensure that the histories of Chinese-language LGBTQ+ people, women and other marginalized groups are neither overlooked nor erased by mainstream narratives.
A core program of OUT Museum is the Queering China Archive (QCA). We approach “queer” and “archive” as practices, dedicated to preserving and activating the collective memories and personal voices of Chinese queer people, both locally and across the diaspora.
Location: OUT Museum – 949 Clay Street, San Francisco (near Joice Street)
