Giving memory form and voice — letting the future see the past, and the past connect with the future

Any objects and stories you donate will be held in OUT Museum’s Queering China Archive (QCA), helping us document the memories of Chinese-language queer people in China and across the diaspora. The collection already holds about a hundred items from the 2000s to today, including self-published queer zines, published books, films, oral histories, maps, photographs, scripts, newspapers, flags, T-shirts and tote bags. Our collecting is ongoing: whether a physical object, an artwork, a digital file or a record, anything that carries a queer person’s memory can become a treasured part of our collection.

We welcome you to share stories, memories, objects or images related to Chinese-language LGBTQ+ communities.

You can submit anonymously. We respect your privacy and will use your contribution for our collection, research or exhibitions only with your consent.
