The San Francisco Asian Queer Film Festival (SFAQFF)

The inaugural is "Rainbow Chinatown"

The San Francisco Asian Queer Film Festival (SFAQFF) is a premier cultural event dedicated to amplifying the voices of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and the LGBTQ+ community. San Francisco boasts world-class film festivals, but still urgently needs a curated space to connect these identities with Chinese-language cinema and cultural heritage.

SFAQFF was co-founded by OUT Muesum and BACCS Cinema.

The inaugural festival, part of a series of events celebrating the grand opening of the OUT Museum, is themed "Rainbow Chinatown," aiming to boldly connect traditional and modern queer identities. It seeks to reshape the queer narrative of Chinatown, showing it as more than just a tourist attraction, but a vibrant and welcoming diverse community.
